We need to be scouting for the next Ollie plus

That’s what scouts do already. Finding someone who is the next OW is the difficult bit.

100£m please. He's a recognised goal scorer - pay up, or shut up.
Why so low ?

He’s worth every penny of £125m to us.
I'm not his biggest fan but I recognise he does enough and it would take a stupid amount to replace him.

Media have really ramped up this shit over the last few days. Manchester United are finished as a top team. You can only live on legacy for so long and Radcliffe's antics are just furthering their demise quicker. Ollie's going nowhere.

£40m is about right for him tbh. Not saying that's what we should accept, but that's about what I'd expect a buying club to offer.

We're not getting £60m and anything above that is laughable.

I agree with the point made about about selling at the start of the window but not now.

Buendia cost £34m and he'd never had a good season in the top flight. Ollie has 4 double digit goal seasons and a shed of assists. With all respect, anyone who thinks he's worth £40m is wrong.

If the buying club were tyre kicking time wasters, maybe.

I'm not his biggest fan, but 40m? No club serious about buying him would offer such a low figure.

So if teams don’t want to pay £60M at least for him, they don’t get him, it’s how the world works.

We’ll keep a perfectly serviceable centre forward for a few more seasons, where he’ll score 15+ prem goals and a good few assists a season, and a good few of his team’s supporters will say he’s shit cos he doesn’t every chance he gets, again how the world works.

Transfer fees have only gone one way since we bought Buendia.

£40m would be idiotic to even entertain. He is a consistent goal scorer and assists so many goals, plus does loads in general play. Strikers inherently cost more and he would leave a massive gap - for us to accept it should be a ridiculously high amount, because it leaves us a big problem.

Plus, optically, this summer hasn’t been great thus far and selling your main striker unless it’s a bonkers fee isn’t a good look.

The headline to Matt Law’s article, paraphrasing “Man Utd can’t be serious about Ollie Watkins if they think he’s worth £30m less than Bryan Mbuemo” puts it well.

The only reason he isn't regarded as a £100m player is because the press don't blow smoke up his arse for playing for one of their 'Big 6'.

Hes been brilliant for us, our top scoring striker in the Premier League era. He'd have also played a lot more for England if it hadn't been for H. Kane.

Those that say we should sell can never say who we should replace him with.

Kane cost £100m when older. You really need to take your Villa-tinted shades off on this one mate - you have to be a fan frustrated at some of the misses, to be a bit too close to the screen in other words, to look this market, at his numbers in the hardest league on earth, and think "yeah, 'bout forty mill seems right".
