If he goes, you'll miss him.

Kind of like a tribute?

I'll miss his work rate, but not his killer instinct in front of goal. I'd wager that he won't break Gabby's record between now and end of season and will head to those tarquin twats in the summer level with Gabby.

Should have had a brace today - That Cash cross, how the fuck did he miss that!
He's supposedly a top English goalscorer - Prove it. Really didn't like how he whinged to the press about being dropped against Paris - Put the ball in the net and you're in the team, simple! It's not rocket science.

The chances he's had this season he should have swept Gabby's record aside in February. Doesn't like competition and thinks he's better than he actually is. Delusions of grandeur I'm afraid.

And going back to being left out of the Paris game - He scored just ONE goal in the whole tournament (*plus a penalty miss against Celtic). Unai well within his rights to drop him with that return.

Wow, even bluenose strikers, don't get that much flak off Villa fans. Lighten up pal.
In the interest of balance Malen missed a few also, so don't be counting on him to be Ollie's eventual replacement!

I think his general play is as strong as it's ever been. Movement, hold up play, even his much maligned first touch was sharp today. That was a shocker of a miss after half time but he probably scores again v Bournemouth. Goals and assists tally still looks strong, you just have to take the unbelievable misses with them.

Get what we can for him, no way he’s going to a top 4 or 5 team.

Will be interesting to see how we get on if we do sell.
Our wage structure will have to be broken anyway for us to get to another level.

He’s a great player and a lot of what he brings to the team we’d struggle to replace just by adding a better finisher. But when he missed those chances in the second half I couldn’t help but think how our season
Would be different if we had Isak up front instead of Ollie.

Like a lot of our players he’s of a calibre where he’d be hard to improve upon. And to guarantee that improvement it will cost a hell of a lot of money in fees and wages.

Case in point Asensio over last few weeks, has looked less useful than Ramsey, a player I really rate but who a lot of fans consider a squad player for us.

Even with the trophy cabinet and wages of someone like Asensio it doesn’t guarantee improving the team. Squad maybe.

Really need Ollie to find form in the last 3 games. Miss more chances like today and it's game over for 5th.

I keep reading this argument and literally couldn’t disagree more. Brentford literally keep doing this: Hogan, Watkins, Toney, Wissa. All hitting the high goal mark. That is just one club that successfully keeps doing it. We’re not going to be fishing in the small pool of an Isak, Kane, etc, to replace Watkins. We’ll be looking elsewhere and there’s a whole globe out there to be looking at.

Watkins is a sulker, he can't handle competition for places, he's stropped when Ings came in and Gerrard moved him wider, he didn't like Duran getting games, and now he's threw his dummy out when Rashford gets picked - which I can understan, but he needs to be taking more chances than he does - don't get me wrong, he's been really good for us, and we've been really good for him. I think he'll leave, which is ok, if we replace properly - I also think he won't get that record.
