If people think we can do better with a mythical (proven) 20 goal a season striker, I don't know what to tell you. They're not really out there. You'll struggle to name ten from the top leagues in Europe who've scored 20 in 2 consecutive seasons in the past 3 years. Of those, many don't even play the same position as Ollie and of these 20 goal beasts, you've got several 30-somethings (which defeats the purpose of finding a long-term replacement). And again, who's gonna come to us? Most are on comfortably over 200k a month.

Newcastle got Isak so it shows it can be done. And just cos it might be hard to find, doesn't mean the club shouldn't try. They are out there if you look.

He was excellent today.

It was the most complete CF performance since the last time he was that good, against Brentford.
He was unplayable today.

His poor performance against Forest probably counted against him v PSG. He didn’t look fit. That said I’d have started him against PSG

Very good today, his all round game was superb. Maybe he's finally fully fit again .

Isak cost them £60-odd million though when he had scored 6 league goals for Sociedad the season before (Although had got 17 the season before that). He was a gamble and could easily have gone the Holjund route.

I think Unai just thought Watkins needed to rest his knee AND wasn't what he needed against PSG but Rashford was. Second half Rashford justified the selection and game plan as well. That said I thought Watkins was starting Tuesday after his display coming on against Southampton and the fact he started from the bench against them.

According to the gossip manure want us to do a swap deal for Ollie and Rashford. I will hate it if he leaves.

I could understand him going to Arsenal, he'd be bonkers to go to ManU.

I'm happy he was pissed off as it lead to that performance. I also have no issue with him answering the question honestly. It's not like he called Emery a moron.

Definitely. I'd prefer it though if he is going, one man ain't fixing that team.

Emery has been stating to get angry and use the anger since the PSG game. Although I will say that Watkins didn't do much of note in either cameo though.

I think, if Isak leaves the Jawdies, Watkins will go north.

mainly because they took Rashford off rather than harnessing them both.
