I used to listen to Talksport quite a lot back in the day, but ever since I discovered all the Villa podcasts in the last few years they've taken over my commute listening now

Gabby was on this morning at 1am and have to say comes across a lot better than some villa fans like to portray- very knowledgable about our history relevant to his age.

Depends, is it 10,000 shoes or pairs?

On the main station Darren Bent has a Sunday show
5-8pm
Darren Bent's Boot Room

'You can Join Darren Bent for the ultimate weekend review
Where he will also discuss the best boots on the market and the flair of his own wardrobe which boasts over 10,000 shoes '

Also another ex Premier league player, Jamie O’Hara, has a show as presenter for GameDay Countdown on Friday nights 7 onto 10pm

Yes to Bent
No to O'Hara

Other way round.

Bent is a mundane yes man, O’Hare has an abundance of more charisma.

Not being in the UK I've never listened to Talk Sport. Pretty much all podcasts for me namely Football Weekly, Off the Ball (BBC Scotland), Second Captains and the Totally Football Show.

Ken Early has a brain but he can be insufferable. I also cringe how they discuss English clubs most of the time yet are always dismissive towards the England national team because "we're all Oirish here".

I agree Early can drone on a bit and his review of the weekend's PL is often my least favourite bit of it. I generally prefer the audio clips and the coverage of other sports that I wouldn't necessarily listen to a dedicated podcast on.

As for your second point it doesn't bother me as much and I'm probably guilty of the same thing at times. :)

Did anybody listen to talksport whilst there was no sport going on?  I was curious as to what they did to fill time. Television can throw on repeats or clip shows. Did talksport air best of Andy Jacobs retrospectives or something?

Obviously I was never curious enough to put the radio on and find out.

Years back, I worked on a job with a chap who'd done a load of work on Sralex's country pile. He's apparently also a man with a penchant for footwear, and from the way my contractor acquaintance told it, his shoe collection had something akin to its own house. During remodelling work there was a slight fuck up in communication and somebody knocked through a wall straight into said collection. The former Aberdeen and St. Mirren manager was allegedly really, really, really not happy about this.

Talk sport following the postponement of the Everton game....

“It feels like Aston Villa are getting preferential treatment”.

I suppose having a fully functional, open training facility might be preferential to us just for a start.
