He's a good player, growing in confidence. His did overhit his crosses yesterday but defensively he did well. He tackles more aggressively than pretty much anyone else in the squad, and for that he gets a bonus point.

Yep, I've no worries about Cash at all. One of the last names on the team sheet to be upgraded in my opinion.

His crossing yesterday was as bad as it was possible to be

Unfortunately

He is growing in confidence under SG.

Just needs to improve his crosses and put them in like Chuck did - and he will be class.

For all the negative comments being made about Matt Targett, is this fella performing any better?
I’ll start….. NO. He’s been good awful for months now!

Have to agree and our system relies heavily on our full-backs contributing in the final third.  Gave the ball away far too often tonight.

Everything but his final third play I'm a fan of. I'd like to see him give more time to work on this part of his game. He can at least run which stretches the game down the right.

I think him and Targett ain’t good enough at this level.
Can they improve? Possibly.  But, I would look to upgrade.
It wouldn’t do any harm.
Increase competition and would improve their game.
Shame as like both of them.

That's poor given that he was a winger converted to a right back. The first thing he should have learned in that position is how to cross a ball

I have often thought the same thing.

And his shooting 'prowess' is on a par with Tonev.

maybe that is why he did not make it as a winger.

He's bloody brilliant. Committed, gets up and down, plays clever passes and gets in good positions. He's the most committed tackler we have to boot. I like him a lot. And, more importantly, so does my lad.

Because Cash usually gets caught out of position, because he's been right up the other end of the pitch and has delivered a poor cross, and he can make a good recovery tackle it makes him look better than he is.

He's a decent right back for a mid-table team.

I think in Gerrard's system he doesn't get caught out of position, he's supposed to be there.
