Matty Cash - signed
« on: August 31, 2020, 04:26:33 PM »
Fee rising to £15m and personal terms agreed apparently, safe to open a thread.

Had an excellent season with Forest at right back and good competition for Guilbert.

Good signing.

That right side is looking strong now certainly going forward.

Banking on some marauding runs down that flank.

Needs to work on his crossing but other than that, looks the business.

Welcome Matt.

I don't think he's only being bought to play RB. I can see him playing RM with Freddie. Good signing for a very promising player.

I'm excited. Love an attacking fullback.

Strange signing in an area of the pitch I thought we were strong in already. It does mean Elmo can probably move on.

Wasn't there an interview with Guilbert mid-season where he spoke of his isolation in England? Perhaps it's him who's off, though I hope not.

Konsa being played at right back was a warning sign that we weren't happy with our options at right back. I think a lot of our pre-lockdown defensive errors were down to positional naivety.

I wonder if Freddie wants to go back to France. Cash looks a really decent, all action type player. Elmo is worth keeping just to have him swinging in crosses in the last 15 when you need a goal, gets lovely shape on the ball.

Things change quickly don't they. No indication of any signings this morning, talk of Jack being off. 3pm, Jack called up to England squad and first signing in.
