5 year deal - most on here will want him gone within 6 months

Maybe he will play as a wing back or right sided midfield player

I asked a Forest fan at work for his thoughts. This was his reply:

You’ve got a great player. Really sad to see him go but he deserves his chance at Prem football (if only for a year 🤣)
Originally a winger and then Sabri Lamouchi (our manager) converted him to a right back.
Good pace, will give you 100% and likely to score a few goals as represents a good attacking threat. Wish him all the best. Won player of the season for us last year as well.
Much better than Lansbury. Cash has got an awesome work ethic!

This is of great interest to me..

"Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash has spoken about his international ambitions, having discovered he is eligible to represent Poland. The 22-year-old has been one of the standout stars for the Reds this season, in a new right-back role.

It has seen him catch the eye of other clubs, as well as the Polish national team - with scouts reportedly attending a number of Forest matches.

Slough-born Cash qualifies to play for the country through his grandmother, and says he would love to get a call-up."

Oh yes, this would be a great boost to my ongoing efforts to convert my students from being gloryhunting plastic United or Liverpool reds to supporting the true giants of English football.

As a child he dreamt of being the next Dariusz Kubicki.

Anyone know who he supports?

I notice that his dad is from Tipton and has played for Stourbridge and Halesowen

I am wondering if the fact this happened so soon after Bree left is linked. Might be the owners have a one in one out policy to keep the squad size manageable, which would make good sense so long as we can shift people out!

If this is the case we may be waiting on players like Hause (linked with a move out), Lansbury and Kalinic to move.

Why would most want him gone in 6 months? What are you saying, that he's no good or posters on this site are fickle?

I'm a lot more relaxed about the signing now Dean has confirmed where he sees him playing. All this talk about him playing on the wing or in midfield had me extremely concerned.

“He has an excellent playing record for a young player and we believe he will settle in easily and continue his rapid development into a top full-back.”

But aren't you concerned that it might be a rather pointless and budget-sapping signing?
