In the game before lockdown, Barnes and Vardy had Guilbert on toast.

He’ll be a big loss, because he’s been great. But hopefully Elmo will find starting easier. He struggled the other night, but he also was coming into a team that were playing poorly and were majorly on the back foot. I think it’s easier to start a game fresh.

Elmo with Trez in front. This is no game to be throwing Kesler in.
I made no reference to a specific game.

NOOOOOO three centre halves is shit. Defenders are boring. Hell, no.
We might well see Kesler at some point during Cash's absence.

Is Kesler the kid who did the brilliant bit of skill in our own box against Liverpool?

I think that was Brad Young that did that, who came on as a sub. Kesler started and looked more polished than most of the kids. He played right midfield if I remember right.

And when Freddie came back into the team after lockdown he was fine - I recall him having Aubamyang (SP) on toast vs Arse!

He clenched both his teeth and fist after preventing a corner late on in that Arsenal game. The type of gesture to make fans love his "passion" and "determination". Alas not enough to stop his arse being dumped in Strasbourg 6 months later. Could Guilbert save Brexit? Well he couldn't do much worse.

Guilbert is a good and potentially very good full back. I was surprised that he didnt start a couple of more games or come on as a sub, granted he was injured. I wouldn't have let him leave on loan. Better players in the squad and make training more competitive, and stops players being complacent. Just picking out a bad performance from Guilbert is a bit silly

That's fair. it just seemed silly to lament Guilbert's absence right before we play Leicester. Considering that the last time he played right back against them he was all over the shop.

Elmo might get rinsed on Sunday, but there's no guarantee that Guilbert wouldn't have either.

Maybe he would have been amazing in the next few games, but nobody is right or wrong on that. Because we'll never know anyway.
