Konsa played right back at times towards the end of last season

That might be OK if Hause was fit, but he isn't.

Gutted, I was really hoping there wasn't much to it, just didn't look like much more than a strain when he went down. I hope it doesn't go like a few others and meana  run of games without him because I just don't trust Elmo to start regularly.

There is no such thing as a slight Villa hamstring. Hamstring for other teams = back in a fortnight. Hamstring for Villa = minimum four probably at least six weeks. Vlaar's Law.

Is there scope to recall Freddie Gilbert ? Elmo did not inspire against Brighton when he came on notwithstanding most of the team were wank.

None in all likelihood but he won't be registered in our 25 anyway so couldn't play regardless. It might be disrespectful to Elmo but I'd honestly consider calling Kesler up instead because Elmo look so poor the other day against Dan fucking Burn.

We’ve only got four games between now and the end of March, so not all bad.

We'll almost certainly be playing Tottenham on 20th as we're both out of the cup

Recall Guilbert. If we can.

Would love to, but don't think we can. Is Engels still on the scene?

Engels has been on the bench the last few games

I wonder how it would look with 3 CB’s and 1 LB with someone like Trez in a right WB role? He has the engine for it. But I imagine it will just be Elmo up against Harvey Barnes. FFS

We might well see Kesler at some point during Cash's absence.

Elmo with Trez in front. This is no game to be throwing Kesler in.

I guess we are worried seeing how off the pace Emo looked coming on last week.  But it must be hard coming on when the team is playing poorly anyway.  Hopefully knowing he is starting with a weeks training under his belt in the role with whoever in front of him he will be far more up to speed.

Elmo had a poor 20 mins against Brighton and is no world beater, but conversely has never hugely let us down either and has done enough to get new contract extensions, when the other old guard were let go after promotion. He also looked fine when he came in earlier in the season when cash was suspended (Burnley or Palace at home? I also think there’s a bit of selective memory about how good Guilbert was last season compared to Elmo, there really wasn’t that much in it from what I remember.
Saying all that Barnes will be tough and would of been for Cash, whose been excellent this season. I do think Trez, whilst not having the attacking flair of Traore, will harrass Barnes a bit more and support Elmo a bit more as well. Hopefully Elmo will get a chance to deliver a couple of those sweet crosses in as well.
