I'm pleased the fixtures are out but I just wonder when we can see them play.

Didn’t the government mention something about fans being allowed in from October? I suppose it also depends on how many fans can go to a game and then everyone’s level of comfort attending large crowd events.
Talksport have been saying that 30% of capacity will be allowed in by October.

Still can't see it. Maybe if it was possible to teleport everybody to their seat from 200 yards away. Plus with people huffing and puffing up stairs, can't see the upper levels being used. How do we get out at the end, one at a time? And social distancing on our concourses? Hahahahahaaaa.

I'm certainly not saying it won't happen, but I'm struggling to see how they'll be able to present any kind of pretence that they're not making exceptions for the PL that don't apply to other aspects of societal life.

There was something on a podcast yesterday about this. For modern grounds with wide concourses they'd be looking at a max of 30%. For older grounds much less. I guess we'd be looking at 10% to begin with.

42k crowds are a year away imo.

Let's just hope perhaps in second part of the season we can at least get 30k + into the ground.

I'm hoping that there will be an option to opt-out of the hole season, with a guarantee to get my seat back for 2021-22.

Even at a greatly reduced capacity, I don't trust people to keep the required distances

Me neither.

Furthermore, I think there would be an immense amount of other twattish behaviour on show, too.

don’t forget there was a million posts on here saying the restart could never happen
and if it did it would collapse into chaos, with players and teams self isolating and the season never finishing

as it turned out all premier league fixtures were fulfilled and most of the cup games as well

I was never a null and voider if we stayed up I wanted it to be on merit

I don't know when it will be safe to go back in numbers but it will probably be sooner than people are thinking

Yes, for what it's worth, non league clubs below the National League, can have fans in from this Saturday.

For example, Step 3 clubs like Bromsgrove, Stourbridge, Tamworth could have 300 max and then up to 600 from August 31st.

That's a bit simplistic, as each club will need to work out their own logistics. It should be easier for distancing at such games which would normally attract low crowds.

However, they may well attract a higher number than usual due to the long gap without seeing live matches.

There are a lot of ifs and buts to overcome yet, but it suggests fans could be back sooner than was thought.

I think there’s probably a difference between what is truly safe and what the government determine is “safe”. But I suspect you’re right in terms of people returning.

We need to have the title wrapped up before those last few games so that the academy lads can get some experience of playing against the bigger sides.

Richer, not bigger.
