Tony Morley was my absolute favourite player as a 6/7/8 year old but think I may have only seen him a couple of times live as only went to a handful of games in 1982 and  1983, hence him not being in my squad. Definetely saw Withe a lot in mid 80s. Leaving Mark Walters out was a hard one for me as I idolized him as a kid, also toss up between Townsend and Ian Taylor on the bench, went with my claret and blue glasses. Also, not the best player so not in my squad, but I loved the sheer aggression of Garry Thompson in tgecrelegation and promotion side in the late 80s. Ashley Young and James Milner were tough ones to leave out as well. Grealish has it all but only done for two half seasons so far, hence on the bench for me.

Tony Morley is my all time favourite but the best for me were God & Sid.

I always thought Colin Gibson was better when he was moved into midfield. It might be harsh given he won the League and European Cup but I would put Gidman, Swain, Gage, Price and Barrett ahead of Gary Williams.

Although Williams was mainly a left-back who covered right back sometimes, and those you mention, with the exception of Gage, were right-backs. Williams as a very good player in my opinion, although I preferred Gibbo.

1983

My first game was Aston Villa 0-1 Blackburn Rovers. January 1st 1994

Brian Little, will never forget Wembley '96. What a great day that was.

Bosnich
Delaney McGrath Southgate Staunton
Milner    Taylor    Barry    Young
Merson
Benteke

Struggled with the full backs, but rated Delaney, he liked a proper slide tackle. Shame injury took its toll.

Wasn't sure about Yorke over Benteke. But the way he left for Man Utd really upset me when I was a stroppy teenager. Can't forgive him, still.

Birthdate - 1979

Started Supporting - 1991-92

Manager/Coach - Little

Keeper - Bosnich

Defender - Delaney
Defender - McGrath
Defender - Laursen
Defender - Amavi

Midfielder - Milner
Midfielder - Barry
Midfielder - Taylor

Free Role - Grealish

Attacker - Yorke
Attacker - Benteke

Subs
Keeper - Friedel
Defender - Mellberg
Defender - Staunton
Midfielder - Petrov
Midfielder - Merson
Attacker - Atkinson
Attacker - Young

A few aren't necessarily the best players for the position but collectively I think the team would work brilliantly. The bench even more than the team is about players to fill specific roles.

Left back is the weakest area because I don't think we've had a one who's played with any consistency in the way I want so I went for the player Amavi is now rather than the player he was with us.
