Don’t think so. Wouldn’t judge him, or the team, to harshly on that given the opposition though - I reckon they average very few shots conceded per game.

unfortunately for him both his goals have been scored in losing games but he does look useful and a definite goal threat when given the service which has not been great up till now

the other thing I noticed about both his goals was his eagerness to get the ball out of the net and get going again
No showboating around milking the applause just a determination to kick off and get back to business

It does make you wonder how exactly we scouted forwards from Belgium in the summer and somebody thought spending triple the price on Wesley was the better option!

Even more worrying is that thought was then agreed with by the powers that be.

Alternatively we may have been trying to sign him but just couldn't get it done, or someone else similar.

Cracking header. Can’t remember a better one in recent years for us. I thought he was well involved in the game too and did well overall. Definitely rate him. Imagine the scenes in Tanzania when that hit the back of the net!

Whatever else happens in our final 11 games this season, Samatta (2 goals in 5 appearances) has to play the full 90+ minutes in each game. It is no good substituting a proven goalscorer with an unproven goalscorer. If Davis or Borja have to come on then it must not be at the expence of Samatta, but alongside him in a 2 up front formation.

As my 2nd line says I suspect that's what they wanted to do, either they couldn't get an agreement at the time or they had someone else in mind and when that fell through they didn't have time to anything else.
