He's facing many of the same problems as Wes. Being isolated. Constantly being played the wrong sort of ball when we're starting attacks and getting very limited service. I think the big difference though, is how much sharper he looks, when we do get into useful positions, he looks like he wants to attack good areas, whereas Wes had a habit of not being in the right place. Plus as far as finishing, his two goals were very clinically taken (and Wesley fluffed his lines a lot). He's been unlucky too. An inch away from a goal against Leicester, and the Spurs Own goal he'd have tucked away if it had got past the defender.

I'd like to see him playing with Davis.

No question in my mind be much higher up the table if we’d had him from the off instead of wes. He’s just much more natural in attacking positions and he can actually score with his head, plus he can do all the other stuff Wes can.

He's way more mobile and attacks the ball/near post. Wes tends to hand back and wait for it on a plate

He just looks like someone who will score goals more regularly than Wesley.

Bang. One chance, no qualms.

Get him and Davis together, smash our way to safety.

He plays like a center forward. Wesley doesn't.

I like him, I think he's got the scorers instinct and will score goals in the Championship next season, should it come to that. If not he's not a bad option in the Premier League.

Wes is more of a hold up player likely to be facing towards his own goal and bringing others into play where as Samatta more forward facing. However they both have same issue of lack of support around them

Let’s get some crosses onto Samatta’s head in the remainder of the season.

Again he was top notch today. Keep for sure. I know old school 442 is out of fashion but I can’t help feeling that him and one of Wes or Davis would bag a hatful together.

I’d like to see him and Wes up front next season, I think they’d work together very well

Ally will score goals but so frustrating how little we create for him. Did he have any chances yesterday other than the header ?
