But I doubt its due to us sitting around doing bugger all. There must be so many elements in buying a player that ultimately depends on the selling club agreeing to the deal in the first place.
You hear of so many deals (not just with us) where almost everything is signed off only to fail at the final hurdle as there is either a problem with agent fees, players family or the buying club is gazumped on asking price.

Not sure why this one wasnt done earlier tbh, with it being a release clause met for the transfer and not having to go through the process of having bids turned down etc then surely the meeting of the release clause part of the transfer should of been done as soon as the window opened. I can only presume that he wasnt our 1st choice.

I feel its bad planning to leave us so short in such an important area of the pitch going into such a critical period of fixtures .
