We’ve given ourselves a good chance of getting to Wembley. More of the same in the return leg please. But fuck me, their goal? Concentrate you clown! If you can’t, don’t be taking free kicks . If you do take one, put it in the direction of the opposition goal.

I love Mings. Nyland showed great confidence.  El Ghazi, no worse than Wes before the Burnley game. Lovely cross for the goal too.

That was a very pleasant surprise indeed, I'll take that on Sunday too.

Aye, that plus a striker would be a lovely week's business.

Great result in the circumstances. Second half was a tough watch. Given ourselves a chance.

Also to add to the Mings and Nyland appreciation.

It was tough, yes, but look at it this way, we've been 'practicing defending' and we're getting better at it.

Mings almost looked in tears in the post-match interview. 🤔

I thought he looked like he had a cold.

This formation must be used from now on. Mings and Nyland in particular stood out.
We can win this and have another day out at Wembley.

Nyland was always a good shot stopper but his all round game has improved.

I’ll tell you what. He’s not afraid of taking a high ball in a crowded penalty area. Really, really brave at Burnley and tonight.

Agreed TV.
That is what he has brought into his games since coming back.
He is braver.

Completely convinced that Suso went to Bruges and spent £30m on two average looking players when Smith wanted Maupay and Phillips.

Having visited Bruges last month, I now wonder if Suso sampled too many of the local 10.2% beers before beginning negotiations.

Great result. The mistake was particularly frustrating because although we were sitting too deep and ball retention was poor before the goal, we didn’t actually look like conceding. His imperial majesty awe-inspiring at the back!
