Perhaps Nakamba and Loiz playing along side each other puts the wind up both of them. Each lacking confidence in the other. Alongside a solid experienced player each of them would almost certainly improve and re-gain confidence more quickly. They played ok together at the beginning of the season but have perhaps each lost confidence in the other since.

I do think we have good players in Nakamba, Loiz and Wes, however they have all struggled with life here, probably due to lots of reasons, lifestyle, they are young but especially the pace and the strength of the game here. Jack struggled at times before we were relegated, but he's a beast now. He is so powerful as well as gifted with that balance and poise.

I just think we need to be a bit patient with these players. I was really really impressed with Nakamba at the start of the season and Loiz looked very composed too. For us to playing these two as the heart of the midfield is a risky strategy, but these two are better than anyone else we have at the moment. I like Conor but again he struggles when we are under pressure. The least said about Lansbury the better.

We have just been week in the squad in areas which are far too important at this level, centre of midfield up front. Hopefully with a little tinkering in the transfer market we'll just have enough to survive this season.
This.

Hi Ian. Cheers. That's my point really. They're young. I'm sure they'll improve and may be great Villa players in due course like Jack, but they need someone with more nous to give them more direction and confidence on the pitch and game time with that player at this stage.

Hello HL, I just hope Drinkwater is fit enough and can capture that form from a few years ago. If he can that might just do the trick.

On the few occasions we had the ball, it looked more like Smith's Brentford side. The play was more crisp than I've seen before.

I hope we see more of that.

Just bought my tickets for the second leg...£25 in the Upper Holte is a bargain. I’m pretty sure etickets always come straight through but haven’t received anything. Anyone else had problems?

Anyone any idea when we're likely to get the extended highlights?

Heroic defensive performance; I hope Nyland won't be frozen out by any loan 'keeper moves -he's earned his chance, and Jed will be back soon, anyway.

I hope DD settles quickly! Oh, and being able to start one of those striker-thingies would be good.
