Alan Green on R5 was quite clear about him being targeted, and with tackles meant to hurt him. I know he is always fulminating about something, but he was enraged by the referee's lack of concern.

What really fucks me off is how so many fans of other clubs go on about him diving when I don't think i've ever seen a Villa player get hacked down as often as Jack is. How he doesn't pick up more injuries from some of the challenges is a miracle.

Tommy Elphick with dreadlocks, really, hmm!! Could of won, but very happy with point. Chelsea and Leicester may be more tricky, but been a good week.

Will be very interesting to see the dynamics of Smith V Rogers.

For some bizarre reason I am struggling to understand I am more worried about Leicester than any other game so far. Leicester were already good but holy cow has Rodgers improved them. They are just such a superb team team to watch. It will such a great test for us.

Leicester are a terrific side but they'll slip up at some point you'd think (I know everyone said that when they won the league). Vardy cant keep going like this.  I think it'll be a tremendous game tbh.

World class finish from Jack and he had a great game. Deliberately hacked own in the first minute and it went on from there. A definite tactic from Man U as with other clubs this season.
Apart from gifting them the first goal and the last few nervous minutes I've got to say that I really enjoyed watching us play.
We seem to have really come to terms with being back in PL and think we are gonna be okay.
Watching on the telly the prawn sandwich brigade sounded pretty quiet you could only hear our fans.

It's a game we should have won because Man Utd really were poor by their standards. Still, if you come away from Old Trafford thinking that you've dropped points, it means we are heading in the right direction.

Of the games I’ve seen, this was our best performance, played some nice football and scored a couple of nicely worked goals. We were good on the break against City and generally good against a poor quality Newcastle side. This was us just about edging it on points (in boxing terms) against a decent quality Utd side. Yes, they’re not a patch on the Ferguson sides, but they still have pace and power. Our team, including the coaching staff, should be proud of that result and performance. Not in a plucky underdog way, but because we went there, played on our terms and with a bit of luck could easily have had all 3 points. That performance will make other sides pay attention to us. If we can get something against Chelsea and Leicester, and also play as well as we did against Utd, you’d have to be reasonably pleased with the first half of the season and look to kick in after strengthening a bit in Jan.

We sat opposite the Villa fans (with the prawn sandwich brigade) Have to say our fans were singing loud and proud right from the off. One Utd fan by us kept shouting in a cockney accent "shut the fuck up villa" which i found quite amusing. We were in the Manchester suite and there were loads of villa in there. Great day and i think it's safe to say Grealish has arrived on the big stage. Easily the best player on the pitch. Some of their lot seem to think it's only a matter of time before they sign him.

I thought we were fantastic. Really great. Mings was probably the poorest but even he made up for error for the goal.

I havent been a big fan of trez but he was brilliant yesterday.  Best game for us yet.

Also have to give konsa a big shout out. Only his second start and he was great. Grealish was motm  for me and that was a utter world class goal.

Enjoyed yesterday, walked away from OT disappointed we hadn't got more. The key for me was that we should have been leading at half time. We absolutely gifted them that equaliser.

The fact that they are so poor and decided to just target Jack by hacking him at every opportunity says so much about them, and was also a great compliment to us. The Foul straight after kick off was a definite yellow, yet nothing.

The only downside for me yesterday was how FOUR Man U fans had tickets in our end. Baring in mind they're like gold dust, I'm not sure how it was even possible, I can't imagine many of our fans having four tickets to sell, let alone giving them up to home fans.

Out of all the new signings he was the one who I was unsure of for the longest, thought he started very slowly and didnt really show much, but I think hes been very good for the last 3 or 4 games.

After watching MOTD back I realised we definitely should have got more than a draw. As has been said, killer to give the goal away just before half time, and Jack’s sitter second half.

Also, I was in the back row of the away end in front of the exec boxes. Hasn’t heard anything from United fans until they went 2-1 up. Then when we equalised we gave it back and the stewards started wading in. Knobheads.

love Mings but he needs to take a leaf out of the great McGrath book,  safety first

i never saw McGrath take unnecessary risks never
he would put the ball into touch and take up his defensive position pronto where the team was more organised and ready

i see other defenders trying to look good and come unstuck,
no one looked better than Paul he was the greatest of them all but he knew when to clear his lines and put the ball into safety
