Did you start watching again because there must be an explanation for them managing to post a competitive score in the end. I reckon that's 100 more than you have wanted at lunch.

Bears are ticking along nicely and well on target for at least 4 batting points tomorrow.

Indeed at 75-0 you wouldn’t expect to get them all out on day one but 80 odd for 6 you don’t expect that total…positives was 3 over with no loss of wicket :-)

Bears will def get a good score…I shan’t put their stream on :-)

Bears get to 400 for the 4th batting points, Latham and Barnard have put on over a hundred. Currently 401-4

If anyone else is watching, what the fuck is Lawrence doing in his delivery? He does a little chicken dance just before his delivery stride and it's driving me mad, it's just so weird.

Pears aren't having such a good morning 39-2 with both openers gone.

Bit of rain forecast for Monday. Would like to stick them in for a few overs before tea, assuming we aren't all out by then.

That thing with Lawrence has bothered me since I first saw him, I'd have knocked that out of him as a coach for my own sanity.

Always good to them get smacked all over Edgbaston anyway.

Worcs wet the bed with the bat again…think bar that backs to the wall performance at Somerset to get the draw we have yet to put together a decent innings

Yep, still not a single batting bonus point as yet this season.  We will be down before the end of May at this rate.

Looks like it is going to absolutely piss down tomorrow afternoon so, barring an incredible collapse, this will be one that got away.

Well that was a bit rubbish. For those that were watching... good batting, bad bowling, lifeless pitch or a bit of all three?

Worcs teased a win at one point but again the failing middle order didn’t give Libby enough support

Pitch was very flat and, if anything, it got slower as the game went on. There were a few very good batting performances on top of that though.

Pretty solid start to the season for the Bears.  Like the look of a top four of Yates, Davies, Latham and Hain - should be plenty of runs there if they find their form.

Not so sure about the bowling, though Bamber looks like he has got something about him.

I wonder where Mousley fits in now, along with the promising newcomers?

Shame about Booth getting injured, he looks pretty sharp.

I really like this part of the cricket season.  County Championship games in a settled Friday - Monday spot and the first test match of the summer on the horizon.

It's a shame that just as the Championship starts to take shape and gets some real momentum, the season becomes fragmented with games and different competitions all over the place.

Pitch is looking very tame again this morning.
