More rubbish from Worcestershire.  Not a single batting point so far, not surprising with this line-up. Losing inside two days.

Indeed…this batting line up will struggle all season, no pressure for places, if openers don’t score runs the team doesn’t

Doing things on the cheap will cost us.  The Kiwi coming in will give us a bit of a boost but we are likely to be as good as down by the time he leaves us.  Other than the second innings against Somerset, which was a magnificent effort, we have been utterly hopeless.  Jones is particularly poor.

Absolutely, only hope is that started with 3 aways so still got most homes to play…will have to loan a batsman in from somewhere I suspect

30 wickets have fallen in two days at Headingley, tomorrow the Bears need 170 to win with 10 wickets in hand. Surely we can’t screw this one up from here?

When I saw that Root and Brook were playing for Yorkshire I was concerned that our inexperienced team would struggle yet that have performed well. The Aussie Webster looks a top player.

Webster's batting was fine but his bowling isn't up to scratch yet, perhaps not surprising as he isn't long off the plane.

Great win for the Bears, against half the England side.

Good, solid innings from Malik, on debut, to hold things together in what was, eventually, a comfortable win.

Time for my annual Derbyshire post.  A solid start to the season which means at least we won't be bottom of the league again this year.  Being 2nd is nosebleed territory!

Would like to see Derbyshire promoted. They seem to have suffered for years.

They've definitely improved this season. The new Aussie opener has helped. Derbyshire have got some good young bowlers coming through so maybe there are good times ahead at last.

Good first 2 sessions today.

Bears 251-2 at home to Surrey on the brink of Tea.
Pears away at Sussex have them at 187-8

6 wickets for 8 runs a few minutes after you turned it off!

Did you start watching again because there must be an explanation for them managing to post a competitive score in the end. I reckon that's 100 more than you have wanted at lunch.

Bears are ticking along nicely and well on target for at least 4 batting points tomorrow.
