I managed to work out one of them was saying something about "politics". Still fucked it up.

What a pathetic declaration by Sussex, would be pissed off if I was a fan. The points system that awards eight points for a draw is a load of shite, it just encourages boring captaincy and is dreadful for fans. But cricket doesn't care about them.
Presumably it incentivises efforts like Worcestershire's today though.

Not really, as a draw was literally the best result they could have got, they'd have tried their best anyway.
It was but with sod all reward for a draw the temptation to enjoy their batting and go home early rather than being obdurate would have been greater.

Decent recovery in the end by Bears. Will see if Durham are more ambitious than tedious Sussex and try to make a game of it.

Disaster for Worcester losing by 504 runs to Yorkshire, largest ever margin of victory in the County Championship.

That's mad. Would have thought someone would have done worse in all that time. Credit to Durham in our game for setting a target. All results possible, though home win clear favourite (if weather holds up)

Checked that Pears game and both teams batted twice. I'd say losing by an innings and several hundred runs would be worse, so it shouldn't count as the record, IMO.

The contrast in 4th innings performance from last week was mental…think they wanted an early check out this week.  Still think the middle order is Worcesters problem…not a consistent run scorer in there

Bears match is really interesting. 81/2 chasing a target that will pretty much happen by just batting out the day sensibly but it's a day 4 pitch.

Durham are favourites and I reckon the draw is unlikely but a 100 partnership or a couple of wickets would tip this game significantly.

84/4 now.

The Bears have effectively lost this game by having Durham 6 down in both their innings and allowing their tail to add too many runs

Yep, the bowling attack looks light without OHD or Rushworth.

A really good afternoon for Bears had got them to needing just over 100 but Smith taking one on the pad just after tea has put Durham back on top.

only need 97 but with Booth at the crease we're into the tail now. Still feels like it's on a knife edge though.

Losing Barnard is a huge blow.

51 needed with 3 wickets left.

great game whatever the result, Bears deserve a lot of credit for getting this point after the morning session.
