Bears fans, what’s the lowdown on Ethan Brookes?  Seems he’s heading to New Road next summer

Younger brother of Henry and another K&D product.
Has been batting at 3 or 4 in BDPLC, but predominantly a medium/fast bowler. Very good fielder.
Could see him batting around 7/8 in big boy cricket.

Thanks Rotterdam, seems to fit the profile of players Giles will be targeting….wouldn’t have minded his brother :-)

Henry has not quite developed as expected. Ian Bell suggested a few years ago that he was a 'superstar' in the making...two back injuries have hampered his progress. He's still relatively young though...

Hain was the one I fully expected to see in the England team by now…might just be that he nearly always scores hatfuls against us :-)

I think Hain stagnated for two or three seasons which set him back, he’s got his mojo back in all forms now though. He should be in with a shout of a place in the white ball squad for the Indian tour, I imagine one or two will retire after the 50 over World Cup freeing up a few squad places.

I had the impression that Hain was badly affected by his dislocated shoulder injury suffered against Yorkshire a few years ago.

The likes of Hearn and Warren talk a good fight but are more interested in milking the likes of Fury & Joshua than putting them on the ring together - they’ll still sell out Wembley or Riyadh Rovers ground in 5 years time when they are both shot but they’ll have done it half a dozen times each before then

Warwickshire score 331-7 off their 50 overs in the One-Day Cup…Rob Yates with 102, good contributions from Barnard (79), Rhodes (44) and E Brooke’s ((38)

Looks like a tight finish is in store for the Bears. Glamorgan need 64 off 60 balls with 5 wickets in hand.

Glamorgan went from 284-5 to 307 all out in 30 balls and the Bears won by 24 runs.

Good win for Pears too, 130 odd from Roderick who has gone from the worst signing ever to 2nd name on team sheet after Libby

Boo hiss. Rather be a Bear than be a Pear, etc.
