Idly checking the other scores earlier to see how other teams doing today and I'm sure Glamorgan have 3 overseas in their current match - are you allowed more in Division 2?

Is there no oversees player for Warwickshire in the RL Cup?

Isn’t it effectively a second team competition? Many of the first choice players will be playing in the Hundred.

I was going to say it’s treated as a dev comp by most counties until the knockouts whilst that bar snacks nonsense competition pollutes the calendar.

Presume if you want an overseas there will be enough knocking about from the squads from that competition that can be drafted in game by game.

Good point. I blank the Hundred from my mind.

Is it still called that.  Thought Royal London had withdrawn their sponsorship after the competition had been reduced to practically development level?

Enjoyed finals day, even if Bears weren't there. Some great fielding fron Somerset, who twice defended low scores.

Was particularly impressed with spinner Sodhi.

Didn't seem like any Essex fans were there.

18 wickets in the day at Oakham School…would say the pitch inspectors would be on the way but it’s Worcester who could be all out in no time at the minute playing on the hard shoulder of the m1

Cracking win for the Pears Gareth.  Promotion spots at the moment.  If only!

Absolutely Steve, sure if I was a Leicestershire fan I’d be unhappy with Tongue being parachuted in like that.

Promotion with most of the best players leaving would be sooo Worcestershire.  Can’t see it happening though

Such a shame we can't keep the likes of Tongue and Pennington as they have a big future.  We also need to let Azhar Ali retire and use his money elsewhere.  It's so frustrating being a nearly side.

Do you expect Ashley Giles to make any difference?

Not sure, he’ll have good contacts no doubt and will need to use them…need 3/4 new players + overseas, presuming Haynes and Azhar are part of the exodus.

Azhar has been poor this season thus far, think he has had one good knock, could do with finishing strong

Bit of good news for Pears fans, Gareth Roderick has signed a contract to the end of 2025 season.
