It was great entertainment for armchair fans. Mate of mine went and told me there was a bit of Villa/Blues “banter” going on in the Hollies?

I wasn't in the Hollies but could hear from the West Lower stand SOTV which got drowned out by HEITS

I heard it on the telly. Villa fans were singing about Villa. The rags were singing about.....Villa.

Yeah there was one chorus of that, which indeed got drowned out by HEITS. Probably realising that they were outnumbered, it wasn't heard again.

Pears doing their best to join the Bears in not making Finals Day, currently 33-6 off 8 overs

Currently Bears 146-2 in reply to Kent 171 all out, looks a tough day for Pears with Yorks on 154-0.

Great day for the Bears and Rob Yates in particular.  Hopefully can finish the job over the next couple of days.

The Bears have been chipping away at Kent all day and have pulled off a win by an innings and 46 runs inside three days, a good all-round team effort.

Pears have gone full Bazball mental….forced to follow on with 9 overs of day remaining, sent 10 & 11 back out to bat :-) admittedly they showed more balls on nearly saving the follow on than the entire batting order but it’s a hell of a call

A nice 23 points for the Bears, pretty conclusive win.

Can't do any worse Gareth.  Some of our batting has been truly woeful.

That’s not Bazzball, it’s very sensible captaincy. The pair had already batted for 35 overs at the end of the first innings and would have been used to the light and pitch. Much better if one of them potentially nicked one off rather than a top order batsman.

It was out of the box thinking, makes perfect sense when though about & was obv very good idea by end of play…be good if they can hang around for a bit this morning too as don’t have a lot of faith on batting all day….

Yep and back up to second.  I think there are two more County Championship games this month and then a break in that competition until September, when hopefully Woakesy will be back to lead a title charge!!
