When he saw him getting off the bus
It seemed to wipe away the years
His face was older, just a little rough
But his eyes were still so clear

He drank his coffee and he hurried out
Across before he walked away
Then he approached him like a little child
Too scared for what he had to say

"Hello, Luiz,
Remember me?
Now should we part
Or stay awhile?
As if we were still lovers"

He took a moment just to recognise
The man he'd known so well before
And as he started to apologise
Lose any bitterness he bore
He gently put his finger on his lips
To let him know he understood
And with his suitcase standing on the floor
Embraced him like a lover would

He told Luiz
"You look so good
It's just you see
You make me feel
As if we were still lovers"

It's not always true that time heals old wounds
There are wounds that you don't wanna heal
The memories of something really good
something truly real, that you never found again

And though they talked for just a little time
Before he said he had to go
He saw the meeting as a tiny sign
That told him all he had to know

And so Luiz
Waved from the bus
And as he left
He gave that smile
As if they were still lovers

One of my favourites, you can’t beat some HL !!!!
Well done.

I wonder how much the reception he received recently when he came on made his heart yearn to come back.

This, with Tammy and Leon could just be a master stroke

Maybe it's written in the stars

The comment about not sleeping fir 2 days was really telling how much he wanted go come back.

He has a point to prove this is a smart move for all of us. So glad we went for him over RLC

At his best he’s a superb player, he’s clearly motivated to return to that. I hope for us and him he achieves it. It feels genuinely heart warming.

Turin, 28 January 2026 – Juventus Football Club S.p.A. (“Juventus” or the “Company”) announces that, in relation to
what was already disclosed in the press release dated 21 August 2025, the player Douglas Luiz Soares de Paulo has
returned from his loan.
At the same time, Juventus announces that an agreement with Aston Villa Football Club has been reached for the
temporary disposal, until 30 June 2026, of the player’s registration rights, for a consideration of € 2 million.
The agreement further entails the option for Aston Villa to acquire the player’s registration rights on a permanent
basis. The agreed fee for the potential definitive disposal is € 25 million, payable over three financial years; this
amount may be increased, during the term of the player’s employment contract, by up to € 3.5 million upon the
achievement of specific objectives.

I was so disappointed when he had to be sacrificed.
He was so integral to everything we did so well.
We need him back to approaching his best and I am sure the motivation is 100% there.

I'm sure if DeBruyne played in a Dyche team he would look unrecognisable.

Nice for fans when the club is publicly listed and they make announcements like this.

I think if he’s anywhere near his best when he left we exercise that option.

Plenty wrong with calling her plastic, judging her looks and how long people would do her for. Weird and creepy as fuck.

Yeah good point.

I'm sure she is a lovely person, but she is a role model and it's hugely disappointing that feels the need to alter her looks in such a way and that plenty of other people will follow her example. Because of the level of work done she doesn't look anything like her natural self, hence the word plastic.

Still, didn't quite come across in the manner I meant it.
