Delighted for him and, not that I'm easily influenced, but I'm going to celebrate by eating a lovely box of El Gounas.

Perhaps he couldn't kick the ball far enough to suit Dyche.

I know they're not products of our youth system but it just feels like two of our own have come home.

When he saw him getting off the bus
It seemed to wipe away the years
His face was older, just a little rough
But his eyes were still so clear

He drank his coffee and he hurried out
Across before he walked away
Then he approached him like a little child
Too scared for what he had to say

"Hello, Luiz,
Remember me?
Now should we part
Or stay awhile?
As if we were still lovers"

He took a moment just to recognise
The man he'd known so well before
And as he started to apologise
Lose any bitterness he bore
He gently put his finger on his lips
To let him know he understood
And with his suitcase standing on the floor
Embraced him like a lover would

He told Luiz
"You look so good
It's just you see
You make me feel
As if we were still lovers"

It's not always true that time heals old wounds
There are wounds that you don't wanna heal
The memories of something really good
something truly real, that you never found again

And though they talked for just a little time
Before he said he had to go
He saw the meeting as a tiny sign
That told him all he had to know

And so Luiz
Waved from the bus
And as he left
He gave that smile
As if they were still lovers

If he can get his fitness levels up sharpish, he might just save our season.

I think he'll enjoy playing alongside Rogers.

Someone on the live chat on the Beeb has put this....is it something we should worry about?

Get Involved - 'Luiz simply cannot move'

I can't believe another Premier League team has signed Douglas Luiz. He hasn't been 'bad' for Nottingham Forest at all, the man simply cannot move. His injury is so debilitating that he will be a complete waste of a signing, regardless of sentiment. Unai Emery cannot coach a body beyond its remaining physical capabilities.

James

Expecting Dougie to fly isn't something we require under Unai. We prefer to play the ball on the floor but each to their own, James.

Love this. Just warms my heart

That's a dangerous move from Duggie, the hug. I still maintain that's what did for Harvey Elliott.
