Fingers crossed the old Dougie is still in there, and all he needs is a place in Unai's side to show it - because blimey, do we need him fit and firing from the get go.

A midfield two of Onana plus Luis/Barkley should be good enough to avoid a significant drop off in standards, IF we can keep them all fit.  I'm guessing we can use Bogarde/Hemmings/Lindelhof to rotate and provide rest when we can - but if we aren't likely to see seeing McGinn and Youri until the last 7 or 8 games, it's now essential those three stay fit.

Welcome back Dougie!

I bloody love Doug, so if he’s back great. But I’ll caveat that as at his best he’s an 8, doing an all round midfield role. I don’t really like him as a 6, so we really need Onana to stay fit.

This is it for me. He just isn't good enough in the Kamara position but alongside Onana I don't see why this wouldn't work. Just need Onana to stay fit as you said...

You ask too much. I guarantee we’ll lose him again before the season’s out.

It’s a verbal agreement at the moment.

I’m sure he’s not a flaky as that twat who agreed to come and then went to Spuds.

Meh.

Same

Me too, although there’s a chance we get Dougy version 1. He’ll be chuffed to be back and surely he’ll be up for it!

What a weird window this is. I’m sure Unai would have loved to strengthen other areas, but now we are plugging holes I guess.

Id be willing to bet by seasons end that Luiz will have had a much bigger impact with us than Gallagher at Spurs. By all accounts he's been rubbish so far.

This signing is a no brainer. Can't see how anyone can be unhappy with it.
