I'm going to take some convincing that this guy is worthy of being part of the swap deal. Geezus - If a picture doesn't tell a thousand words! 😯

What is it telling you?

That he looks far from fit enough to cut it in the Premier League and be a suitable stand-in for Kamara. We'd be better off with the money, than the scraps out of Juve's pocket.

*And this photo was taken within the last 24 hours.

Nothing drawing a ludicrous conclusion from basically no evidence.

The irony is that he was miles better than Luiz, who barely got a touch, according to thee North American based folks who actually watched the game.

Exactly. Those who watched the game were full of praise for his play and the fact he played the full 90 in a hot and humid Florida. No doubts about his fitness anyway.

Someone must have promised him an extra burrito if he kept going.

I stand corrected. Just watched the highlights and McKennie did seem pretty involved - Would still prefer to keep Dougie on the books though.

However, no getting away from the fact that he DOES still need to shed some of that timber.

I think Bruce recommended the local Greggs and that swung it for us

My mate over in the states who knows a thing or two about football (played at a decent level) reckons McKennie is currently the best US player. The best US player under the stewardship of Emery might be even better. Having said that I seen some of his performances for Leeds, I was less than impressed.

I remember seeing him make his debut at Tottenham and thought he looked a class act
His home debut summed him up, dropped a major bollock on the edge of our box to gift Bournemouth a goal.
Scored a lovely consolation goal late on. We really dont miss him as much as some think when hes out, slows the play down far too much . We have a squad that can handle him going.

I was at some point going to jokingly post 'ah, we don't need him he's shit anyway' but it seems you beat me to it only yours is actually serious :-)

I think more to the point, we don't want anyone here who wants to move on so let him go on that basis.

He’s just got a big face (“a sniper’s dream”). Doesn’t look like an ounce of fat anywhere else.

You try not having a big face when you're storing three sausage rolls in your cheeks.

Bearing in mind the amount of noise on this a couple of days ago, it’s gone pretty quiet hasn’t it?

Ha, I was going to go with him probably having a huge tooth abscess so his face is swollen like a balloon, or maybe a bad bee sting, but I prefer the sausage roll storage explanation.

This happens with almost every transfer, there's loads of noise saying it's pretty much done and then everything goes quiet ahead of an announcement a few days later.
