Feel disappointed that Luiz didn't want to be part of a CL campaign with us. And he's always said good things about Unai and the Villa. Really thought he loved it here.
There’s a lot of blasé attitude on here to Dougie leavingHe’s going to be a massive missI remember seeing him make his debut at Tottenham and thought he looked a class act five years on and I still think he is absolute class, our best midfielder with McGinn over the last five yearsI don’t know what our overall transfer targets we will get in the end but anyone thinking we can replace a high performer like Doug with McKinnie and the likes of Berkeley are seriously deludedLosing Doug weakens are midfield simple as that

We'd be better off with the money, than the scraps out of Juve's pocket. *And this photo was taken within the last 24 hours.

Quote from: Toronto Villa on June 13, 2024, 03:38:20 AMThe suggestion being that Doug didn’t sign a new deal as his agent was trying to get him a move to Barcelona that didn’t pan out. He ends up at Juventus instead.Yeah, or just another club in general. The Arsenal rumours were still flying around in January. I know we won as much as they did this season, but they're one of the few English teams I could see one of ours mistakingly thinking was still a bigger team. I know historically Juve are a big and successful team so it's not like he's shot for Barca and ended up at Milwall. But it still seems like an odd choice of destination when we're on the brink of something big and he played a big part in getting us there. But who knows, maybe he's always wanted to play for them.
