If selling Doug is only about complying with PSR, then why does it appear that we may well also be selling Cash and Duran for around £70m? By all accounts, we're likely on the right side of PSR so the money from selling Cash, let alone all 3 would be enough.

For me, it's an indicator that we intend on using our new status as a Champions League team to spend heavily this summer. He has been a mainstay of the team for five years, stepped up after lockdown when we needed to stay up and improved year on year after that. He always seems to genuinely love playing for us too. It's rubbish that his leaving and even more so if it is mostly driven by crappy financial rules which do nothing but protect the twatty clubs who already spent their Dosh to grow their revenue sources.
