Through fatigue and losing vital teammates at a terrible moment his form has dropped off dramatically, but we really, really have to bear in mind how good he was for the rest of the season up till that point.
Someone has got to go this summer in spite of the CL qualification if you believe most reports. It’s either him or Jacob. I don’t want either to go to be honest. PSR was not designed for this.

It's an understandable reaction and no one really knows, hence the 'if' in kippax's post.

Having an extra £30-£50m coming our way next season obviously changes those goalposts. We might still have to, or choose to sell someone important. But the last week has obviously changed things dramatically.
There’s a part of me that wishes the club could be more transparent about our actual PSR position rather than the guesswork we undertake so we could stop this speculation. I realise it’s gossip like this which makes the football world go around but it just seems so utterly pointless and negative when we should be overjoyed at our current position. Sigh.

Sigh.If the club (any club) were to give an indication of being at risk of a PSR penalty then that would immediately decrease what they could expect to sell players for. It would be totally counter-productive. UTV
