Through fatigue and losing vital teammates at a terrible moment his form has dropped off dramatically, but we really, really have to bear in mind how good he was for the rest of the season up till that point.
Agree.
I still think he is the most likely major outgoing this summer.
Not that I want that of course.

Unless he has a release clause - and he had major leverage with the Arsenal interest when he renewed, hopefully we won't have to worry about selling him.

Champions League qualification may deactivate release clauses in a few of our players but who knows, I guess.

Someone has got to go this summer in spite of the CL qualification if you believe most reports.  It’s either him or Jacob.   I don’t want either to go to be honest.  PSR was not designed for this.

I don't think so.  Nobody would buy Ramsey after a year out and we would be nuts to sell Luiz.  We'll sell fringe players and kids.

You are right about Ramsey , but it really depends on how much we need to raise.

Why does somebody have to go this summer?

Because of repeated reports about our precarious nature with PSR. It's an understandable reaction and no one really knows, hence the 'if' in kippax's post.

There’s a part of me that wishes the club could be more transparent about our actual PSR position rather than the guesswork we undertake so we could stop this speculation. I realise it’s gossip like this which makes the football world go around but it just seems so utterly pointless and negative when we should be overjoyed at our current position. Sigh.

I don't think any report has said that since we confirmed our Champions League participation though. Having an extra £30-£50m coming our way next season obviously changes those goalposts.

We might still have to, or choose to sell someone important. But the last week has obviously changed things dramatically.

Oh I know, I was just explaining why people are discussing it. Nothing would surprise me.

I would hope we are trying to recruit players rather than sell our best players. Seems strange to think that way after working so hard to get to where we are now. I’m sure the owners will have a better plan than what these so called reporters say.

If the club (any club) were to give an indication of being at risk of a PSR penalty then that would immediately decrease what they could expect to sell players for.

It would be totally counter-productive. UTV

Every team must hold their PSR cards close to their chest.

Apart from Man Citeh, who have 666 charges against them and say fock all y'all.

I think all clubs will pretty much know each others position anyway.
