The gap between us and Arsenal has closed considerably between last season and this. If we weren’t interested in selling him then we won’t be now. The price is much, much higher anyway. Doug is critical to Emery’s system. He’s not easily replaceable and is why he won’t be going anywhere.

Hopefully. He’s key to us, but reality is we have no idea what’s written into his contract. Either way I’d hope we are looking at signing him to a new one, he justifies revised terms.

A second RB and a new deal for Dougie would be a good January for me. Anything else is a bonus.

I think he's worth more to us now than Ratboy was valued at when he fucked off.

I so hope this quote is true.

https://twitter.com/espenstrand/status/1725489647717920853

Saka said same about Man City earlier this year.
He didn't say that.  Someone just made it up - and then it went viral.  I saw the original tweet - which was clearly a joke by a no-one.

Plus John Burridge as understudy/life mentor to Emi.

 Such a delightful footballer.
That was a world-class delivery for the Pau goal.
Did you see the exchange with Digne on a free kick from shooting distance, as Doug really fancied it despite being more suited generally to a left-footer
Digne and Bailey had to convince him it's not for him. rightly so in many ways. Digne took it and whipped over the wall to produce a save.
Dougie fancies it all though, could see he fancied it!
Man can score from corners!
I'm excited anytime he takes a set piece.
Love him!

Today I saw a report suggesting Man City want to buy him back

Ker-ching!!

That'll be £200m, please -all up front, as you may not actually be in the league much longer.

Oh yes, and we'll have Grealish back as well in case we run short of programme-sellers.

I’m guessing the media didn’t like us beating their favourite team yesterday - seems like our whole squad will be available in a sort of “Black Friday sale”
