So another one staying who has underwhelmed the last 3 yrs 🤷‍♂️

He’s a just turned 24 and is a Brazilian international. In the right role I think he’ll develop into a quality player.

And even if he does end up leaving after this season surely it's better that we get 25m or 30m than letting him go for free.

Can’t disagree with that, other than the games at the end of our first season back in the premier league he’s been average at best, he’ll never amount to anything at our club.

The problem I have with Luiz, is his tendancy to be casual in areas of the pitch where it's often fatal. We saw it in his very first game against Bournemouth. I'm not doubting his ability & he may be more effective as a No 8, but on the evidence of the last 3 years, I'm not convinced.

I still think he'll run down his contract & go on a free.

I'd sell him come what may.  I think he's really ordinary.  I appreciate beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I must be blind as.

I like Doug.  I think as an 8 or with the added protection of Kamara in a double pivot he could be excellent.  I definitely want to keep him.

Agreed, if he’s prepared to sign a contract.

New 3 year contract according to the Telegraph. Good age, and good player if he kicks on. Better than McGinn and Ramsey at present for me.

His running style is similar to that of Dennis Mortimer, which I like.  Otherwise, in the right circumstances, and with proper coaching and encouragement, I think he should become a very very good player.  Hope he can kick on from here.

I think he has played most of his time in the wrong position.  The Liverpool game at home last season was a prime example of when he wasn't restricted to being the DM, he was a lot more involved in our attacking play.

Was hoping he’d be sold, the Brazilian Westwood.

in his 4th season with us now and I'm still not sure what the strengths are in his game.
Hoping he improves.
