Rudy Can't Fail could probably offer some language lessons.

Ahem.

Brazilian Portuguese would probably prove more useful.

Fair play to her , on new years morning she made the effort to come to my mates house to wish his son happy birthday. He’s had a really tough challenging life and she spent over an hour taking to him and brought him a shirt.

Said she was off to Douggies after that ( and said she’s learning Portuguese )

How nice.

It was. After what she said was a 4 am finish the night before as well ( she came over late morning )

Genuine question, does it differ much?

Yes, far more than UK and US English for example, it's the same with Spanish and South American Spanish speakers. They can generally understand each other but you have to be aware a lot of grammatical differences.

We had this conversation at work last week because we've just added a couple of new data architects who live in Belgium but are from Brazil and Peru to works with our Spanish and Portuguese business.

As far as Spanish goes, Spanish Spanish is impossible to understand. Latin American Spanish is clearer, although Argentinian is also impossible. My poor Spanish notwithstanding.

She's a good-looking lass, but I really don't get the massive eyebrow thing that young women go in for these days.

They put me in mind of Denis Healey. And not in a good way.
Why did you say that? Now I am thinking about Denis Healey in tight shorts. :-[

I wouldn’t buy his calendar when it comes out.
