He’s a class act. It confuses me why so many don’t see it.
I agree. Love Dougie, and at 23 he's nowhere near his prime yet.

Crikey! Does she play in the 'McGinn' role for the ladies?

Would you swap Luiz for Emile Smith Rowe?

Definitely not.

Would prefer to keep him but for me he is still hit and miss. When he’s on it he looks a class act but when he’s not he’s slightly invisible and easy to bypass through the midfield. I think he can get better over the next couple of years but he's going to have to play at the top of his current game 90% of the time to keep his place, the way we’re operating in the transfer market at the moment.

I hope we don't flog him, but I guess we will need to start selling players for profits at some point to comply with the ffp horseshit?

In think the one we did last summer went a long way towards that.

"At some point"

But yeah, maybe we're not at that point yet. I've got no idea where we currently stand with it tbh.

Luiz should not be sold. Too risky as even if we do sign Bentancur the PL is hard to get used to with its intensity compared to Serie A. Luiz is still only 23 and will only get better.

I don't rate Douglas at all.  However, this is because I think we are playing his in the wrong position as he is not a DCM.  I would prefer to see him playing further forward, then, I think he can reach a potential, which I think we haven't really seen.

I’d kind of agree with this as in Gerrards early performances where Nakamba was played as the 6 he was played as an 8 and you could immediately see the improvement. His performance against Citeh in particular was excellent.

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a £32m bid for Douglas Luiz.

Always one of my favourites "preparing".

He needs to be playing further forward.  He has a good brain to see a pass and together with Buendia and Courtinho (sp) would slot in nicely to give extra strength to that area of the pitch.

Don't want to us to sell and can't see us selling either. He's one of our four 8s. He can cover at 6 too.

I think we'd only sell if he told us he wants to go. At which point you squeeze £35-40m out of someone desperate and move on.
