Often disappoints me with sloppy passes and going missing for periods after looking promising.
a 6.5 out of 10 player for me  but with the potential for more

Pretty much his game tonight.

I'm a big fan but get the feeling he won't be signing a new deal and his mind is drifting a bit away from us.

Buendia has his faults and hasn't really adapted yet, but he had a significantly better game than Luiz.

He has become a weak link, we need an upgrade.

My issues with him are without the ball. Letting the ball bounce in midfield at one point in the second half for no reason. Just doesnt show enough grit at times to stay goal side of his man. Not sure what the Brazilian is for the old saying, either the man or ball can pass but not both. He could do with heeding it anyway.

Bar the odd sloppy pass I thought he distributed the ball well in the main. Granted under the laziest opposition team I have seen this season. But Im surprised to see such criticism on here tonight, he was far superior to McGinn or Ramsey.

I thought Ramsey was really poor today. Hope the Norwich goal hasn't gone to his head.

It was helterskelter stuff in midfield, how many times did they gift the ball away?

It’s a worn record but he will never be a holding midfielder. He looks really uncomfortable at times - I think he’s the best 8 we have.

It was the worst luck to lose Nakamba. Those first few games under Gerrard, the midfield had a really good shape.

I thought Ramsey was really poor today. Hope the Norwich goal hasn't gone to his head.

He can turn with the ball really well and is obviously a fine athlete. But some of the basics need work, a lot of work. First touch, how to shield the ball, decision making on when to run and when to pass.... Idiotic early yellow again today put him under pressure. Should have been replaced a lot earlier with Sanson.

Bar that spell post lockdown, Ive never got the sense that Luiz wants to develop into a top no.6. He seems to prefer throwing side steps and running with the ball rather than the dirty side of midfield play. But he is a talented player for sure.

He was the only player in the middle of the park tonight.  Ran his bollocks off.
He did some great challenges as well as lost the ball - like a lot of players tonight.
He is quality.

I can't believe you thought he ran his bollocks off.

He spent a huge amount of time jogging around aimlessly, punctuated by giving the ball away.

I don't know what Guardiola saw in him - his ball retention is poor.

He maintains possession when you don't expect him to but gives it away when it's easier to keep the ball, he does it almost casually.

Ramsey bossed their midfield.

He's a talent but he needs to do the work at both ends of the pitch.  Four of the midfielders watch as McTominay waltzed past them to score the header, JJ included.  Many blamed Mings, but he was already marking someone.  I reckon Gerrard can make JJ an even better player but he's got to do the dirty work too.  Not having a pop Ads.
