He’s always been best suited to the last-gasp-block style of defending and does/did it very well. However, he looks desperately uncomfortable where the emphasis is on playing the ball out from the back, it’s just not his game.

Outfield players who have been dribbled past the fewest times in the Premier League this season (2000+ mins):1️⃣ Ezri Konsa - 22️⃣ Erling Haaland, 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗮 - 33️⃣ Fabian Schar - 54️⃣ 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗲𝘀, Sven Botman - 65️⃣ Harry Kane - 7
Yeah. I guess what it doesn't give us context. i.e if nobody ever tries to dribble past you because you're always massively out of position, you might score well on a list like that. Not that I think that's applicable to Konsa or owt.

While it's very easy to produce reams of statistics these days that don't really mean anything, I guess it's not a bad thing if your players are doing well on the lists of meaningless stats:QuoteOutfield players who have been dribbled past the fewest times in the Premier League this season (2000+ mins):1️⃣ Ezri Konsa - 22️⃣ Erling Haaland, 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗮 - 33️⃣ Fabian Schar - 54️⃣ 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗲𝘀, Sven Botman - 65️⃣ Harry Kane - 7
I can think of a number of times where he's been beaten quite easily, the last match against Bournemouth being once such. It probably wasn't classed as a "dribble" but the attacker ran past him like he wasn't there and he had to be bailed out by Mings.
