To think that not so long ago he was playing at right back. Very impressed with him since he's moved back into the middle.

Far more composed than Mings let's be honest

I think Konsa is better than Mings.  Don't get me wrong, I'm bloody chuffed we have both, but I think Konsa is developing into something a cut above.

To me it’s the partnership that is important, they work well as a pair but at the moment it seems that Mings is the one who organises and leads at the back.

Agree they compliment each other so well

I think Konsa will be more consistent.  When Mings has a bad game, he has a stinker.  Haven't seen that so much with Konsa.

He intercepted and played some very neat passes from defence.

My favourite thing from him was on about 80minutes, he broke forward and we lost the ball with him about 25 yards from their goal and, in a game we were leading comfortably, he bust a nut getting back at full sprint.
Yeah, he sprinted past about 8 players and was first in our box to keep the shape. Superb effort

I couldn't believe just how quick he was!

The two of them together could form one of those long-term partnerships at the back that we love so much. There's so much potential.

Does he? I thought Mings was average enough yesterday. In no man's land for the Lacazette header in the first half, fairly sure he was the nearest to Holding for that shot at start of second too. My main problem with Mings is that he gets himself into trouble more often than not. Running with the ball laterally and anything that involves his abomination of a right foot is trouble...

Konsa is different, his horrid ball watching habit from last season has disappeared and seems a classy defender now. Able to do the blocks like that cross in the first half yesterday but in the main he doesn't seem rushed and reads situations well.

In today's over inflated transfer fees, Konsa is looking like a proper steal.

I think you can lay that against a few of ours

Cash - £14m  when Chillwell  / Mendy went for £50m
Martinez - When Pickford went for £30M
Luiz - countless wasted millions of a multitude of average midfielders |(pepe @ £70m - Christ)

I think our scouting and buying has been exceptional

Arsenal are buying players for £50 million. We're buying £50 million players.

I take your point but think Chilwell is brilliant though, and worth every penny of that.  Luiz was really a glorified loan fee, we'll only see his real cost at the end of this season.

Thats a great analogy, Arsenal signed Willian for free and they were robbed.

Willian is a highlights player, like a a more talented but equally flawed version of lansbury.
