Konsa’s improvement is why it is difficult for us to look at another centre half in this window I think. At 22 years old he needs to be playing every week, and in a couple of years then we have potentially one of the best centre-halves in the league. Anyone we sign is therefore coming in as third choice, and with Engels and Hause here already I’m not sure how much of a priority that will be.

He’s forging a really decent partnership with Tyrone.

To be fair, Engels was too until his form fell away. Let’s hope Ezri can keep up the good work.

Might be feasible to get an experienced head in who’d be happy to be third choice. No idea who that might be though. I know we are going for the young resale value thing, but a bit of experience at centre back wouldn’t hurt. A PL standard Jedinak would be ace. Could also be back up holding midfielder, to be brought on to manage games late on.

I wasn't impressed with his early performces last season but he's a revelation now, quick, reads the game better and skilful.A much better defender than the England internstional,Gomez.
Fortunately for him,Mason Mount doesn't like to play in defence.

Should be in the England picture, Mings has had a few 8/9's and a couple of 3's, this guys has been consistent 7-10's

My favourite thing from him was on about 80minutes, he broke forward and we lost the ball with him about 25 yards from their goal and, in a game we were leading comfortably, he bust a nut getting back at full sprint.

To think that not so long ago he was playing at right back. Very impressed with him since he's moved back into the middle.

Yeah, he sprinted past about 8 players and was first in our box to keep the shape. Superb effort
