Obviously, that should be 'He passes it back and forth to Dibu and Torres and we nearly concede.' But it doesn't scan well.

Agreed. Seven will be cut one of whom is definitely Trafford. So you'd assume two defenders and four from the midfield / forwards combined.

He's played every minute for England since he came on for his debut and there's no way he's in the bottom two of Gomez, Dunk, Quansah and Branthwaite.

FWIW I assume the seven will be Trafford, Quansah, Dunk, Jones, Maddison, Bowen and Toney.

John Stones was quarantined in his bedroom on Wednesday with a sickness bug that has put his participation in England’s Euro 2024 opener against Serbia at risk

Konsa and Guehi it is then.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he shunted Walker to CB and put Alexander to RB

Wow. What part of what I said wasn't referencing that people get ill? I was merely stating that they have been ill, and with covid, because they've tested. You know, people get ill. That's the reality. I didn't say HERE COMES THE DEATH BUS.

That is more a comment on Covid, its symptoms and its potency, than the fact England have defensive issues.

I still think it was a bit of an overreaction to what I stated. I said some people may be ill from something that is bouncing around a lot at the moment, so what? It's the first time I've mentioned the fucking thing on here since the pandemic.

I have never had it but am pretty sure I’ve got it now. Test says no but it feels pretty covidy

NB I’m not suggesting it’s like the plague.

Whether it is Covid or not, if there is an chance of infecting the team with a bug, you don't take the chance. Simples.
