Ok as a stand-in for a game, shouldnt be a regular starter there though.

Right back will be a priority in the summer. Konsa and Torres are a decent pairing.

I reckon that. I like Cash, I don’t have too much problem with him, but I think Emery doesn’t trust him for some reason.

I hope Moreno also steps up and finds that form from last season as I don’t think Digne will be here. We’ll probably fix the right and have trouble there!

All three goals came from his side, a nightmare doesn't even come close!
He is a class CB and an okay sometimes RB!

He played well there v Man City at home and last time out v Wolves but honestly he is usually dreadful at RB. It's where the ball goes to die when he plays there. Needs must maybe with Cash out but even with Cash available Emery is in a rush to play him there sometimes.

I'd take Reece James and /or Leeds Archie Gray for right back competition.

James would be too expensive from a PSR perspective, his injury-record suggests it's a risk taking him on, Chelsea probably won't sell him and he would think he's too good for us anyway. Apart from all that though...sure, bring him in!

I think if Villa make Champions league James would like to get to us but Chelsea need to sell him for their own PSR so a deal could suit both parties 25m

Article on Konsa's youth and development;

I rated Ezri anyway, but he’s progressed to a whole new level since Unai came in.
 Seems a genuinely decent sort off the pitch and I like it that he doesn’t take any sh*t on the pitch, too.
Fully deserved his call up. Dean Smith called this when he bought him to Villa.

Konsa , Mings, Watkins all Dean Smith he has to take a lot of credit bringing them to Villa and establishing them as premier league players.
Gerrard did his best to ruin confidence of players but Emery has restored their belief and brought them on.

We may look back on Dean Smith in a similar way to how many think of Vick Crowe.
A very decent man, when at a very low ebb for the Villa  set the foundations that enabled the club to go on to achieve greatness.
Heroes.

Yes he did a very good job at getting us back and establishing us as a Premier League team. He just wasn't good enough for the next period of our journey, but that's no disgrace. Nor was Gerrard, obviously. But we've ended up with exactly the right bloke in charge, so all good.
