Is this the same Cash who constantly goes forward and then turns back inside or a mythical attacking one.

We let 27 goals in when Konsa played right back, 45 when it was Cash. That’s a lot of goals for Matty the assist Cash to make up for.

Where are you getting those stats from? According to Transfermarkt, it was 30 goals conceded in the league with Cash at right back.

Bukayo Saka on Ezri Konsa: "Some sessions I do a 1v1 with Ezri because he is one of the best in the Premier League at defending 1v1s. It improves me and it improves him as well. I enjoy coming up against him."

As my babby said “Konsa won’t improve by marking Saka. He’ll just pocket him easy”.

And some nutters would rather have Cash playing at right-back for us.

I'd rather have Cash at right-back because he offers more going forward and both Torres and Carlos are better with Konsa at centre-half.

Konsa probably spent most of his time helping Saka get back on his feet.

Not been following the Copa America though I did notice Brazil drew 0-0 this morning with Costa Rica. It made me wonder did Vinicius Junior ever got out of Konsa's pocket? He's such a key player for them.

Feel free to go through the match threads (I’ve done it once), but for me the stand-out Carlos performances (Arsenal home & away, Man City at home) were with Konsa at right-back.

Perhaps you can cite the good Carlos games when he partnered Konsa at centre-back?

Far too lazy for that mate. Just my gut feeling, Carlos/Torres need a fast player alongside them. I'd be looking for another pacey centre-half so we can rest Konsa if required, and another right-back assuming Nedeljković isn't considered ready to be a regular, yet.

There's a guy called Tyrone something who might do a job there.

I hope so. My choice would be get a faster version of Long Legs on loan, and ease Tyrone back gently.

I would rather swap Carlos for a faster player, either who for right back or centre back, and shuffle the options around accordingly.

I like Carlos, I think he's ideal against the more physical players, less good against the little fast ones. I'd like to keep him around and rotate accordingly. Obviously if Mings comes back and returns to his old form then you could ask the question of whether we still need DC, but in the meantime, I wouldn't be in a huge rush to kick him out.

Yeah I don't hate Carlos at all, he's a proper unit and he put in some performances that will go into venerable canons of Villa history (i.e. doubling Arsenal). I just don't quite trust his positioning and technique on a consistently consistent basis.

Eh? On the basis of us both knowing which combination of defenders gets the best results? Anyone can look that up.

Here’s more Unai-like insight: we let more goals in when Olsen plays.
