I've not posted on here in a long time. But fuck me, it's great to have our Villa back.

The last 3 months have been as much fun watching Villa as I've ever had, the most loveable team I can remember. I couldn't be happier that it's Deano that's taken us up; I had to hold it in a bit when  he lifted the trophy yesterday.

I had surgery on Friday and had spent all weekend on the sofa. Dragging myself to Wembley was much more of an effort than expected. But fuck me, it was worth it. (Funny how all the pain wears off after a few beers and a promotion.)

Connor, AEG, McGinn and the back four were monumental yesterday. And watching back when I got in, Jack did more during the game than I'd given him credit for.

Wilder's post-match quotes were great, there's obviously a tonne of respect between him and Deano.

More than anything, I want to hear the inside story of the Will-Carew relationship.

Just home.  That last ten minutes was the longest of my life.  Absolutely overwhelmed with joy, pride and a feeling of a huge crushing weight having been lifted off my life.  There were times in the last few seasons when I thought I would never see us back in the First Division.

The same for me Brian.  The younger supporters would really have little understanding of how important to our generation this is, not making light of their sense of importance but, as you get older...

Whilst on this subject, let's all spare a thought for all those HEITS that passed away this season and didn't get to see this today.
You may not have seen them at Wembley but the HEITS were all there looking down on us with joy in their hearts.

Difficult to put into words how I feel, the relief at the final whistle was unbelievable followed by an outpouring of emotion, I lost my amazing wife to cancer just under 2 years ago and the journey has been incredibly difficult and still is, our beautiful football club returning to where they belong has given me a tremendous boost and the summer ahead will be wonderful, what does Aston Villa mean to me, it means everything.

Great day and promotion against all the odds, gave the division a head start and still got there. One sour note is my Nephews' "Halesowen Villa" flag was nicked from block 130. Every team has low life scumbags evidently.

Amazing, amazing day yesterday. It feels all the more special as we've done it the Villa way, the bloody hard way! A rollercoaster season ends with us all looking forward to a Summer of transfer speculation in the most positive way for once. Its who shall we buy, not who might we have to sell! If I was the owners I would have had the lawyers back at the Hotel last night with contracts ready to sign for AEG, Emperor, Hause, Tuanzebe and Tammy.
My best day at Wembley ever, tops Liverpool, as it means so much.
Thank you everyone at Villa, dreams are starting to come true....lets be back at Wembley next year now we've remembered how to win there!

What a day.
I've been supporting Villa since 1967, and I've seen us every time at Wembley since the 71 final, but that was the most special day.
The connection between the club, players and fans is back again after several years of bitterness and division, that is the most special part for me.
One can only dream now as to the progress planned by our new owners, and the next few seasons are going to be the best yet I believe.
We have got our Villa back.
Hail, hail Aston Villa...the most special football club in the World.

My overriding emotion at final whistle was relief rather than joy. Relief that we don't have to sell the twin dynamos of Grealish and McGinn, relief we don't have to play the bitters and blues next season, relief that FFP crisis headlines will be written about other clubs. Relief that my three hour coach journey was worth it !

Today has been grand!

My overriding emotion at final whistle was relief rather than joy. Relief that we don't have to sell the twin dynamos of Grealish and McGinn,

It wasn't our greatest ever achievement winning this game but the significance had we not could have been pretty horrific for the club. Losing the two you mention for starters, no realistic possibility of hanging onto the loan players who have transformed us since Dean came on board and add to that the FPP potential punishment hanging over us. We're up, now we need to stay up and build.
