Just home.  That last ten minutes was the longest of my life.  Absolutely overwhelmed with joy, pride and a feeling of a huge crushing weight having been lifted off my life.  There were times in the last few seasons when I thought I would never see us back in the First Division.

Loved Dean's interview when he spoke about visiting his dad last Friday, and said something about his dad seeming to understand him for once when he was telling him about the match.

The same for me Brian.  The younger supporters would really have little understanding of how important to our generation this is, not making light of their sense of importance but, as you get older...

Whilst on this subject, let's all spare a thought for all those HEITS that passed away this season and didn't get to see this today.

Lovely. And for anyone who has had a relative with dementia so relatable (not the Premier League manager bit obviously), those few precious seconds of recognition I mean.

Quote
“To be honest, I went to see my old man on Friday and he kept his eyes open for two minutes and I said ‘the next time I come to see you I’ll be a Premier League manager'.  And he smiled and nodded, so for me, that’s enough.”

Spurzzz can do one. Grealish is staying.

Outside of serious injury there is a not a chance in hell Jack Grealish will not be captaining Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.

Not long home after a simply incredible day.  After all the shit of recent years, days like today remind you it's all worth while, even during the dark times.  Some very special people follow this club, and I am humbled and happy to be amongst you.  Up the Villa!

Back where we belong, with a Villa fan in charge, a Villa fan as captain, beautiful.

This. Beautiful. Lovely. Rare. What every supporter of any club wants.

But also those who have no historical connection with the Villa - the likes of El Ghazi and Elmo, both MAGNIFICENT for two/three months, have bought into what we are, and that’s brilliant management by Deano but also shows that they are professional and nice people who care about team mates and fans. Good times.

Just read the SHA forum if you want a laugh. Oh the bitterness!

Had a quick look, most seemed to be distraught they won 100-300 quid in bets they can spend on home improvements in their Worcs. shires.

Don’t even look. This is our night.

Mings, El-Ghazi, Hause, straight away, Abraham id  leave tbh

No way. Tammy is part of this, loves the Villa, I want him to stay. Would nonetheless agree we need another striker too.
