“Join us on the journey” ....

Not sure where we’re going or how we’re getting there but - hey! - it’ll be fun!

I still cringe at Reading having "The Fans" written next to number 12 on the squad list on the back of the programme.

What an embarrassingly wank slogan.

That's quite catchy.
I like it

How did a group of “experts” and executives think this to be something that would capture the imagination? Did they even use a focus group?
I was thinking the same thing but it would most likely have been the internal marketing department...either way, they would have had to sit around a table to agree on it. Oh well...the club has bigger and more important things to worry about and get right than a marketing slogan.

It strikes me as some kind of knee jerk quick fix to take pride out of the slogan. I expect they're getting plenty of incoming about the lack of pride at the club and this was an easy way to focus on the herritage of the club (which is pretty much all we've got these days). Plus they can say it was a natural evolution of their existing strapline so they can feel less horrible about themselves. Its kraP but we have bigger fish to fry for the forseable.

Smashed all over the park is more apt.

So replace the previous slogan with something slightly worse,
We still seem to be suffering from second rate marketing people behind the scenes.
Wankers.

I wouldn't call them wankers but it's a very very shit slogan. I understand why they do slogans etc but at least use one that isn't wank and doesn't even make much sense.
