Is it only me or is that just a really shit alternative to Part of the Pride?

I think it could just go in the season ticket thread, but it’s not just you. I liked ‘Part of the Pride’ once I got over the initial cringe and I don’t know why they had to change it.

It's a bit naff. Part of the Pride wasn't great, this is worse. Not quite as bad as "Be The 12th Man", but close.

Fuck all this bollocks gimmick stuff, just win football matches.  That will catch the eye a treat.

I'd go for something more catchy like "SOME OF THE GAMES WON'T BE SHIT".

It's impressively crap. Someone actually got paid to come up with that. Part of the Pride was ok, no real need to change it.

They’d be done for false advertisement.

I’d go for “YOU’LL SEE LOTS OF GOALS. WE MAY EVEN SCORE SOME OF THEM!”

I agree with Amfy about this. In more general terms, I feel quite sorry for the advertising department, who try very hard but for a number of years have had such a poor product to sell.

Has anyone actually spent their Pride/Park points? I've got almost 4000 but the only thing I'd consider buying is the pre-match lunch/quiz and I'd only buy that if it were in the Corner Flag. It seems to be in the Holte Suite more often than not.

Cringeworthy in the extreme.  But then again all the infantile American style marketing that has been entrenched since the arrival of Randy Lerner is of the same comic book oeuvre.

I suppose someone would object to "Fuck the Fuckers".
Political correctness gone mad.

I actually thought that 'Part of the Pride' as a slogan for a club with both a proud history and a lion crest wasn't that bad. Perhaps I'm missing the finer nuances of the English language.

But 'Part of the Park'? Villa Park - I get that. But that could describe a single brick. Or something equally inanimate. (Insert your own joke about some of our current squad members here...)

What part of the Park?

We're the spent hypodermic needle, discarded amongst crumpled Special Brew and jazz mags, hidden in the bushes.
