Well Unai seems to think he won’t be training until the end of the season so I think Mr Romano jumped the gun

I did think that yesterday. There seemed to be nothing other than a picture of Mings in the gym, of which we've seen quite a few recently. From that, it jumped to he's training with the team again, and then some of the other click bait sites leapt ahead with "the game against Fulham may come too soon for him." If we do see him this season it's not going to be until May.

The way I see it from the message, Emery has planned the season without them from the start and so is not willing to rush them back. (especially with the Ramsey and Torres issues). However it doesn't mean the won't be available before the end if he sees they are ok.

Quote
“Always they (injured players) are in our mind. They support us every day here in the training ground and it’s very important.

“All the season they are going to be out – Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia. Hopefully they can come back to train at the end of the season with the group and start next season being completely fine to play like they were playing before.”

Great to see Tyrone progressing well. But amazing to see the level of muscle loss he’s suffered as part of the injury and recovery process. He’ll be back but certainly not until next season.

Whne I broke my femur the muscle loss happened so quickly it was scary, and, more than 25 years later, it's never fully recovered.

A femur break?
Flippin’ heck, nasty.
It’s probably the one bone that no one wants to break

If you look at the difference in size between each thigh he has a long way to go yet

Think I heard him say in the video his leg is back to normal size now. Get well soon big man. Look at the goals against this season compared to last.

He says in the video it’s the same size as it was before.

It might not be obvious to some viewers that a lot of the video is clips from months ago.

I listened to the 'Quickly Kevin Will he Score?' podcast today, in December they did a long interview with Sir Brian Little, talking about his time as a player and manager (well worth a listen, btw), and he was talking about his retirement, effectively being due to an ACL, and how these days it's ultimately bad but recoverable, but in his time, it was a career-ender.

26 when he had to retire. What a player he was, I honestly think he's still my favourite Villa player ever (largely because i was a young kid when he was in his prime and used to hero worship him).

I remember Shearer doing his and people thinking it was a career-ender. He might have been one of the first big name players known to make a complete recovery.
