He's not good enough to be a top 8 centre half. He lacks consistency, often over 90 minutes, never mind week to week.

He costs us a lot of goals with his errors. Concentration is a big issue I think, but it often takes serious cock up for him to revert to basics.

He was abysmal against Leeds, but solid against Newcastle making an excellent tackle on Saint-Maximin.

Targett is a case in point. He was excellent at times last year, but he has a ceiling. We have too many players who aren't top quality or if they are, not consistently enough. Mings is in that bracket.

If he's not good enough as a top 8 CB I raise you John Stones....

Stones has a rick in him for sure....but on the ball is as good as most midfielders. Quick too. Man City don't have to defend too often in truth .
Maguire...ok if two stoppers are playing in front of him but exposed to ridicule this season without it. He's done.

There just aren't many centre backs who are better. The way the game is these days, the centre back has a really tough job, the way Gerrard plays puts even more pressure on.

Every centre back makes mistakes, even Van Dijk, who is probably the best out there. Mings makes them, we don't have many people mopping up, which is something he does a lot of to cover for everyone else too.

His vocal side is proper leadership, on and off the pitch.

Most of his mistakes just tend to be from brain farts rather being under intense pressure. Just being too casual or switching off. And yes all defenders make mistakes, Mings just seems to make more than almost anybody else.

Brilliant assist by Mings he plays that long raking pass to good effect and on this occasion there was a ruthless finished.
Having sometimes this pass mings makes be our most effective form of chance created in games before happy for him and Watkins who finished with aplomb

Never really troubled today, and when he plays like that he's more than good enough.

A captain's performance again from Tyrone vs Brighton. What a ball for Ollie's goal! Tyrone, Konsa and Martinez is a formidable central 3 and if supported by the midfield and full backs will always give any forward line a game.

I'm sure Tyrone was pleased to stuff leeds fans' taunts back down their throats.
After last night's result and performance it's clearly obvious who is "f-cking sh-t".
BTW a great lay off for the Chambers goal.

I'm not really sure what this strange obsession Leeds fans have with Tyrone Mings.

For some reason Mings in a comical way throws himself fully into the pantomime villain by taking longer and longer to clear the ball as if to say "your not rattling me".

Still he must have taken an age to get changed after the game as 30,000 Leeds fans fell out of his pocket.

I'm not really sure what this strange obsession Leeds fans have with Tyrone Mings.

It's because he's an outspoken supporter of Black civil rights, and they're racist arseholes. Nothing more complicated than that.

Brilliant stuff from Tyrone last night. Took a shedload of totally unwarranted abuse and put in a superb performance in response. Another night to be immensely proud of our captain.
