I have noticed that the same people who don't rate Mings often seem to have some sort of problem with Lewis Hamilton and Anthony Joshua.

That's a stretch and then some

Joshua is wildly overated or was anyway.

How exactly is Joshua overrated? Olympic champion, world champion, he's only lost 2 fights. I'd agree that Fury is a better fighter, but saying Joshua is overrated considering his achievements.

Because he was the big hope for British boxing, and has arguably only beaten one really top fighter, and that was an ageing Klitschko.

Of course he was a hope - he was Olympic champion, and he's done the equivalent as a pro. He's proved himself every bit as much as FranK Bruno did, but for some reason Frank never got the same criticism.

Well Audley Harrison was also Olympic champion, and he was dreadful. With Joshua, I think it's the way he's been hyped and marketed well above his actual ability. He's a good boxer, just not a great one. He's got the physique of a Greek God, but not the boxing ability to match. Fury on the other hand looks like a middle aged dad but more than compensates for that with sheer ability.

Harrison wasn't dreadful, he just didn't have the technique to get to world class at pro; similar to Frankie Gavin. He was European champion, which you don't win in a raffle. Of course Joshua is going to be hyped, as are all Olympic champions, but he's achived more than most.

Mings has, apparently, paid a considerable sum of money to help with the funeral costs of a Villa fan who has died prematurely. Good on him.

Probably loses some brownie points on here for promoting 'Under Armour'.

He's a good lad. Does himself, his family, and his club proud time & time again.

Whatever anyone elses misgivings are of him as a player, I bloody love Tyrone Mings. He's got a hard job breaking in to the favourite defenders category purely because there's basically 1 spot for central defenders given that God will take one every time. But favourite people? He's on Ian Taylor levels of awesome.

He's probably the best example of how a footballer should behave off the pitch as I can think of, alongside Milly.  If only we could increase his concentration stats by 10% he'd be beyond reproach.I have a super amount of time for him.  I accept much more easily his mistakes than I would a, for example, Charlie N'Zogbia.

Outstanding second half and drove us forward to get back into the game.
Real captain quality.
Well played Ty

I agree Footy. He’s superb and made one hell of a tackle that second half and drove us forward from the back. Fantastic game.

That tackle was superb, but for me he’s still someone who should be replaced sooner rather than later.

Great bloke, decent enough footballer

Maybe, but it’s going to cost a lot of money to do so. I know he’s not perfect, he makes the odd mistake but we are so much better when he plays.

He's like Dave James was for us, you can forgive the odd rick as he does so much extra good stuff, and he can really drive the team on.

Wouldn't surprise me if Gerrard looks for an upgrade in the summer.
