Yeah, two totally unrelated things. I suspect that linking them may be more to do with people’s own personal politics than anything rational. I think he’s a legend for the way he conducts himself off the pitch, but I still have question marks over him as a player if we want to challenge for top 6 / top 4.In terms of Mings the player, I think it’s pretty obvious to most of us what the deal is: a great presence, good pace, good in the air, pretty good distribution, but prone to lapses in concentration which can be costly. It would be great if we had all the positives without the mistakes, but then he’d be a £60m+ defender not a £25m one.Champions league teams tend to buy £60m+ defenders.

Konsa doesn't make anywhere near as many unforced errors as Mings does.

Same shit gets levelled at Lewis Hamilton on social media. Maybe we should have more faith in our squad and also call out players who are paid to bury chances but spoon them. But those players are perhaps not “virtue signalling “. Mings does have a few clangers in his game but we should be proud of having an intelligent captain trying to make a difference in a game where sections are happy to boo players taking the knee. Maybe the pressures of racism in the game is affecting his performance especially if whenever a black player calls it out they are accused of virtue signalling or being woke. The forwards are just as much to blame for yesterday in not burying chances.
Absolutely remarkable how many people on here ( yes like you Sexual Ealing) are so anti freedom of speech and expression. My opinion, is as valid as yours and should not be dismissed with 'bollocks'.The current Chinese regime sounds far more like your natural environment.

It's OK, he used high flautin language to tell that uppity black player to know his business and not get ideas above his alloted role.
